Update has rendered the app useless. Impossible to log in, retrieve magazines. What hope a refund?

Not sure if it is the magazine or the app but it is impossible to get to the meat of The Nation. Sad, too. I called and got the run-around. “Did you get your subscription from iTunes or from us?” It was like they help you differently depending on where you get your subscription. I can’t log in, even when I change my pw electronically. And how many times do I need to see the same issue cover? <Is there a negative star?>

I subscribed for two year term with The Nation digital. This app has not updated the issues in weeks and the newer issues are not available. Customer Support at The Nation does not return ANY email requests for assistance. Im canceling my subscription. Awful app and customer service!

Agree with the other reviewers, I tried multiple times to log in but didnt change anything, and issues havent been updated in weeks. Please fix this.

This application is worthless. Do not buy. Even if it works you have limited access to the magazine. This is why legacy magazines will not survive

Cant access mag since revamp. Dont bother subscribing thru iTunes. Amazingly bad updat as it sheds its iTunes customers. Adding insult to injury their website has no record of my direct subscription. No explanation from the magazine for a month. They have lost this subscriber!!!!!!!!

Subscribed via iTunes but unable to log in. Please fix bug or kindly refund for unused issues. Thanks.

Glad I finally took the time to read these reviews. I thought it was just my generally negative technical mojo. Now if we can just get the app people from The Nation to read the reviews and fix it. Just so there is no confusion, I agree with the majority opinion of the reviewers. This is by far the worst app I have ever used and should be an absolute embarrassment to the editors of the Nation. I am not ready to cancel my subscription yet, but something needs to be done soon. I cannot login, renew or do anything related to my account and I am definitely not alone in this.

Im also relieved to see some of these reviews and learn the problems arent unique on my end. You pay extra for this digital subscription, in my case to save paper, but youd think it would also bring some measure of convenience. Instead, I see another app offers new issues #before# the Nation, there is some mysterious message telling me the version of the app Im using isnt the latest and there may be formatting"issues," (and there are), but no clear way to upgrade. Plus, Ive had to phone the office a few times to re-activate my subscription when it hadt expired but I was being prompted to by issues. There appears to be no way to correct something Ike that online, I hope the Natipn app developers will look into this!,,,,,

I love The Nation as a reading source but this app makes the publication absolutely unreadable due to formatting issues. I wonder why they havent adapted to the current times and hired an effective development team.

The app does not format the content correctly and the content is unreadable. When you pay for something you expect it to work. Dont buy the digital subscription until they fix their problems.

I get an error message reading, "Issue file format is newer than the target version 5.3 and may display incorrectly." Yet no remedy is offered.

Slow. Often unresponsive. Disappointing.

As much as I love the Nation, Im dumbfounded by the ineptitude of the magazines attempts to grapple with the digital age. With every new update of the app there are problems with logging in, downloading issues, and now with even simply seeing the text. It almost makes one wonder if an organization this seemingly befuddled can be trusted in their writing!

Worst app ever. Im going to cancel my subscription. I want to support the Mag but this is unbelievably bad. Pages do not display properly.

I love The Nation and Ill never unsubscribe but I cant read the magazine on this terrible app. Now I have to go back to reading the paper copies.

I just purchased a year subscription an am unable to read the magazine with this app. I agree. It doesnt deserve even one star. What recourse do I have?

This is the absolute worst.

I deleted this app and downloaded PDFs of print issues. On my new iPad the contents dont display correctly, so at least the PDF is reliable.

I had been buy individual issues using Nook which worked fine. When I subscribed I got this app. It works ok except you cant adjust the font display size. Its a bit small on my phone.
